How to Connect Your Wallet

Are you ready to unlock the full potential of Open Loot? Connecting your wallet is a crucial step to manage your assets seamlessly. Open Loot supports both Metamask and WalletConnect, giving you the flexibility to choose the wallet that suits you best. Follow the steps below for instructions on how to connect your wallet to Open Loot.

Connect Your Wallet to Open Loot

Metamask

1. If you haven't installed Metamask yet, you can find it in your browser's extension store. Metamask is available for various browsers, including Chrome, Firefox, and Brave.
2. Once the extension is installed, locate the Metamask icon in the upper right corner of your browser. Click on it to launch the Metamask wallet.
   
3. If you already have a Metamask account, you can simply log in. If you're new to Metamask, you'll need to create an account and set up your wallet. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete this process.

4. Verify Network:  it’s It's important to make sure you’re connected to a network supported by Open Loot. 

   - Ethereum Mainnet is required for withdrawing Big Time Tokens and NFTs. 
   - To withdraw USDC or Open loot tokens, you need to add and connect to the Base network in your wallet. 

   Connecting to the correct network ensures your transactions go through smoothly and without problems.

5. To select the correct network for Metamask, click on the network name displayed in the top left corner of the Metamask window:

6. WalletConnect will bridge Open Loot to the existing wallet app of your choice.  Ensure you have a compatible wallet app installed on your PC or mobile device, such as Ledger Live, Trust Wallet, or Coinbase Wallet. 

Connecting Wallet

• Step 1: Log into your Open Loot account

  
  
  
  
• Step 2: Access Your Wallet/Collection
  Once logged in, click on your user profile icon located in the upper right corner of the Open Loot page. In the dropdown menu that appears, select either:
  • My Collection, then Items to Sell, [Select an item], click on "Withdraw" and you'll see the option to connect your wallet. Click on it to proceed.
  • My Wallet, Tokens, [Select a token], click on "Withdraw", then "Connect Wallet" and you'll see the option to connect your wallet. Click on it to proceed.
    
    
    
    
    
• Step 3: Choose Your Preferred Wallet
  
  
  Note: When you click on either option Open Loot will prompt you for Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).
  

  • Metamask: Clicking on the Metamask option will open a prompt to connect to your Metamask wallet directly.

    • You will then need to authorize the connection from Open Loot to your Metamask wallet. To do this, click on the Metamask icon in your browser, and you'll see the connection request from Open Loot. Always make sure to read the request carefully to ensure you are connecting to a trustworthy site.

• • WalletConnect: If you prefer another compatible wallet, select "WalletConnect." You'll have the choice to either scan a QR code or log in from your desktop. Choose the method that suits you best.

    • You can scan the QR code with a compatible wallet app:
      
    • If you interact with your wallet through a PC application installed on your computer, select the "Desktop" tab and select your preferred wallet application.
    • Once a wallet connection is selected, you will be prompted to authorize the connection with Open Loot.
      
      
• Step 4: Complete the Connection
  After accepting the connection request, your wallet address will appear next to the "Connect Wallet" button on the Open Loot platform.
  

Congratulations! You've successfully connected your wallet to Open Loot. Now you're ready to explore and engage with the Open Loot ecosystem using your chosen wallet.
